Did you know that some bookmarks on Delicious get a dangerous icon, are kept private (”not shared”) and a warning pops up when you try to visit them?
Here’s one instance, a bookmark on del.icio.us of a PNG file* stored locally on my hard disk:

Che in Delicious Mobile ci sia dell’altro, molto altro in arrivo, lo si intuisce da quanto scritto dagli addetti sul blog nonché sul forum.
Mentre lavoravo all’articolo per Mytech ho compiuto un’esplorazione a tappeto, indagando sulle cose ancora “nascoste” ma foriere di novità.

Ero a un passo dallo scrivere un breve intervento intitolato “Non ci sono più: linkbun.ch e urlbunch.com“.
Nei giorni scorsi avevo infatti notato con dispiacere che sia Urlbunch che il più noto Linkbun.ch, due servizi che proponevano una forma particolare di annotazione di più indirizzi web, fossero KO.
Là dove c’era la homepage di Urlbunch fa brutta mostra di sè una pagina bianca con la sola scritta ‘test’ mentre Linkbunch per più di un mese è stato ‘down for maintenance’, inutilizzabile sia per salvare nuovi indirizzi che per richiamare quelli già salvati in precedenza.
Ora Linkbun.ch è di nuovo attivo e lo evidenzio con piacere perché provandolo sul campo in aprile ne avevo evidenziato differenze e vantaggi, tra cui la complementarietà, con altri servizi, in primis del.icio.us

Writing a piece in italian for Mytech.it on the latest beta version of Firefox 3.1 I found two interesting tidbits of info.

here’s a way to make Firefox always start in Private Browsing mode:
Go to the about:config page, click I’ll be careful, I promise, type browser.privatebrowsing.autostart in the Filter text box, double click the entry to make its value true. After doing this, the next time you start Firefox, it will start in private browsing mode automatically. To turn this off, use the same steps to change the value of this preference to false. There is a plan to provide an easier method to set this option in the final release of Firefox 3.1.
