Mac Chromium 3.0.196 allows you to edit bookmarks
With version 3.0.196 of the Mac Chromium builds it is possible to use the edit option on the contextual menu on items in the bookmark bar.
This means that as far as bookmarks are concerned, Mac users have a functional preview of Chrome which can add, delete and modify stored urls.
In fact although you cannot directly add a bookmarklet, you can first add a regular web address and then edit it pasting a copied javascript code.
I did exactly that, replacing an url with the Delicious Url history code:
This also means that the hack I devised last month (consisting in the editing of the bookmarks file) is no longer necessary if you are using a recent (later than 22th of July 2009) 3.0.196 build.
Let’s hope the Google Chrome dmg will be also shortly updated to reflect this change.
