[...] 昨日（米国時間12/5）、ソーシャル・ブックマークのパイオニア、Delicious（最近、創立以来満五年を迎えた）は IEとFirefoxのアドオンのアップデートを行った。バグの修正に加えていくつか新しい機能が追加された。しかし、公式ブログでは言及されていないのだが、今回のアップデートを機に、非常に有用な機能がリリースされている。ブラウザ内でMP3のブックマークを再生できるまったく新しいメディアプレイヤーだ。TechCrunchの読者、Nicola D’Agostinoがこの新しいメディアプレイヤーをいち早く発見した。その後、D’Agostinoの発見は、Deliciousの公式ブログの記事のコメント中で、ユーザー・コミュニティー担当マネージャーによって確認された。おってさらに詳しい情報が発表されるそうだ。私もテストしてみた。画期的な機能が含まれているわけではないが、日頃MP3ファイルをDeliciousに登録し、タグづけしているユーザーにとっては便利な機能には違いない。このオーディオ・プレイヤーは邪魔にならない水平なバーの形でポップアップし、巻き戻し・早送りボタンも備えている。またYahoo! Search、タイマー、プレイリスト機能も組み込まれている。アップデート：以前のYahoo! Musicのゼネラル・マネージャー、Ian Rogersのブログからのトラックバックによって、このプレイヤーの背景が判明した。これは実はYahoo! Mediaplayerだった。Yahoo! Mediaplayerの良いところは、たった1行のシンプルで編集しやすいjavascriptをページのhtmlソースに書き込むだけでプレイヤーが実装できる点だ。ページの作成者は1行のjavascriptエンベッド・コードとhrefによるMP3リンクを加えるだけでいい。それだけであっという間にインライン・プレイヤーが完成する。最新のFoxytunesプレイヤーもYahoo!
